About Our Sail And Walk Adventures
Some walks will be loop walks whilst others will be dropped off and picked up at a different location by dinghy.
The D’Entrecasteau Channel and Southeastern Tasmania has worldwide acclaim as a cruising and touring destination. The AllTrails website has a good list of the walks that you may be able to experience depending on ease of access and duration.
Where we go and where you walk depends very much on the weather on the day. We will ensure that the pickup and drop off spots are always "weather safe". Each day the skipper will discuss with you the walking/sailing options for the day. You will then (as a group) be able to choose the walk (s) that best suit you.
Lunches/snacks will be provided for the longer walks and you will return onboard each day for light refreshments or to the hearty meals prepared fresh each day by our onboard chef. All meals are provided.
The Lady Nelson galley is small but we can cater for many special diets. However, there is a trend towards quite complicated diet requirements that we may not be able to fulfill. If you have special dietary needs please check with our office before booking.
We have 2 toilets and 2 showers and beds are bunkhouse style.
You will need to bring suitable clothing for both sailing and walking. Please see the attached list of recommended gear. Include water shoes as there may be “wet” landing – change into your bushwalking boots once on dry land. special diets so please advise us of any special requirements when booking.
